Engagement Photos: Pumpkin vs. Corn

by Lavender Elizabeth, October 30, 2015

When October rolls around, there are two places that almost all people go: a pumpkin patch and a corn maze. These two settings are beautiful places to have your engagement photos, especially around Halloween.

The question is: which is your favorite?

Friendly Inspiration: Briana

by Lavender Elizabeth, October 25, 2015
If you missed the inspiration behind this Halloween-infused fall wedding, check it out here!
Briana's Friendly Inspiration:
The Color Palette: This wedding will be a true ode to fall with a color palette of red, gold, orange, and yellow.

The Invitations: These 3D gold leaf invitations are a perfect introduction to the wedding theme.

The Venue: Brownstone Gardens in Oakley, CA

The Ceremony Location: The ceremony will take place on the lower garden, surrounded by beautiful flowering trees.

The Reception Location: The celebration will take place in the upper garden, a truly magical outdoor space.

The Bride:

The Dress: Briana will wear an Allure gown that is perfect for a fall wedding. It features a flowing skirt and unique laced bodice.

The Look: Briana will accent her gown with a curled half-up half-down hairstyle, accessorized with a golden baby's breath crown, a gold leaf bracelet, and a bouquet full of reds, oranges, and greens.

The Bridesmaids: The bridesmaids will wear long red Watters gowns, accessorized with gifts from the bride: golden leaf bracelets and matching rings. They will also carry coordinating bouquets.

The Groom & Groomsmen: The men will wear charcoal suits with fall-inspired boutonnieres. The groom will wear a gold tie to stand out and his men will wear ties in the same color as the bridesmaids' dresses.

The Ceremony: The archway at the venue will be decorated with gold drapery tied with red florals. The aisle chairs will be decorated with bouquets of greenery and red flowers, tied with gold bows.

The Cocktail Hour: The cocktail hour will feature fun Halloween-inspired drinks and food for the guests to choose from. They can enjoy these goodies at cocktail tables decorated with orange tableclothes and bejewelled pumpkin centerpieces.

The Escort Cards: The guests will be led to their seats with different colored pumpkins and fall leaves.

The Reception: The tables will be decorated with gold table runners, gold pumpkins, red flower arrangements, and greenery and candles to fill in the gaps. Each place setting will have an orange or yellow napkin, and the place cards will be held with mini pumpkins.

The Cake & Dessert Table: The cake will be a true fall wedding cake, with orange and red leaves and small pumpkin decorations, topped with a "Nightmare Before Christmas" topper that will be spray painted gold. The dessert table will feature a "Falling For You" banner, loose leaf confetti, and yummy fall desserts.

The Faovrs: Briana wanted to give her guests marigold and chrysanthemum favors, so each guest will receive seed envelopes and a pot to create their own fall arrangement.

Next week, as we continue our countdown to Halloween, there will be no Friendly Inspiration post, but come back in November to see another gorgeous fall wedding!
