DIY Project: Glittery Easter Eggs

in , by Lavender Elizabeth, April 10, 2017

With Easter just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to create some festive eggs. I made these glittery Easter eggs for an added sparkle in my Easter baskets. Want to make your own? Look below!

What You'll Need:
Glitter in different colors.
Plastic eggs.
Mod Podge.
Paintbrush.
Plastic bowls.

To Make:

1. Mod Podge half of the egg. Only doing half will allow you to hold on to an un-glued section.

2. Over a bowl, pour the glitter over the egg. Don't worry about using too much, as it will be caught in the bowl to use later.
Tip: Use eggs in the same color as the glitter incase some shows through.

3. Set aside until dry. You want to make sure the egg is completely dry, as you'll be holding on to the glittered portion to finish the egg.

4. Once dry, Mod Podge the second half of the egg and add the glitter.

5. To dry, I inserted skewers into each of the eggs and stuck them into styrofoam blocks. This allowed them to all dry evenly.

6. To finish them off, Mod Podge all over the egg and let dry. This will help the glitter stay in one place.

And, voila! Fun, festive, glittery Easter eggs.

I cannot wait to fill these sparkly eggs with Easter candy!

Have fun creating!
