I'm suspending my blogging hiatus for a very important reason: Halloween! Next week, I'm hosting a costume party with friends and I cannot wait. While trying to decide what I wanted to dress up as, I started pulling together different options. I ended up with a list of thirteen and couldn't miss the opportunity to share. Below are my top DIY costumes for you to create this year, from Snow White to Wednesday Addams, and everything in between.
It's hard to believe that Valentine's Day is just around the corner! Typically this is the time of year when I host my annual Galentine's Day party. Over the past three years I've hosted a sleepover, a favorite things party, and a Galentine's brunch. It's one of my favorite things to do with my girlfriends, so I'm super bummed I can't have it this year. Fingers crossed we can do a make-up event in the coming months when everything is safer. Since I won't be spending the day with my girls, I decided I would celebrate in another festive way - with fashion! The inspiration behind today's post: the subtle heart-patterned sweater and earrings I found at Loft over the weekend. Below, you'll find the most adorable heart sweaters, earrings, and necklaces to celebrate this Valentine's season. Enjoy!
Overall, January was a relatively boring month. It started with me traveling to Charleston to see my sister and then Nashville to see my best friend, which were both so fun. Once I returned, my days pretty much consisted of working and sitting on my couch. I did, however, watch some great shows! I finished season one of Bridgerton and started watching Peaky Blinders. (Highly recommend both!) I'm hopeful that this next month will be a little more exciting. My extroverted heart is struggling!
Happy Monday everyone! I've seen a couple other bloggers do their roundup of the best 2020 products and I decided to join in. Throughout last year, there were 20 items that I consistently used, including my favorite jeans, blanket, and workout app. Below is my complete list of all the 2020 products I'll be bringing with me into 2021.
This year for Christmas, my family decided to take a mini vacation. In past years, we've done exotic trips like Belize and Jamaica, but due to the pandemic, we decided to stay close to home. After researching the best Christmas towns in the US, we settled on Asheville, NC. It was my first time there, so I was excited to explore. It reminded me of a smaller version of Portland, with its breweries and overall vibe. In order to see a lot of the town, as well as stay safe, we planned out an itinerary that had us both at the cabin and downtown. Below you'll find our complete itinerary and all the fun we had spending the week together.
We may be in a brand new year, but we can't forget to recap the last month of 2020. We had a true winter here in Chicago, which was so fun! December was filled with Christmas decor, family time, and enjoying the first snow of the year. Catch up on the past month below complete with blog posts, highlights, and my month in photos.
It's hard to believe 2020 is over. What started as a brand new decade, filled with hope and excitement, quickly turned into one of the strangest years I've been through. I experienced stay-at-home orders, protests, and illness, but also had some of the best moments I could have
asked for. I spent time this week reflecting over the past twelve months, reminiscing about the times that made this year special. My top ten moments of 2020 are below! It was a wild year, but a
grateful one.
