This past weekend, my friends and I celebrated Galentine's Day a little early. We decided to have an adult sleepover, coupled with a Galentine's Day theme. I hosted the slumber party here, taking advantage of my parents' basement. It was the perfect setting for our night. Comfy couches, big tv, and a bar. The Theme: Galentine's Day is February 13 and is a day dedicated to celebrating the ladies in your life. Our party was full of hearts, pink, gold, cute PJs, and girlfriends.
The Decorations: Utilizing the pink and gold theme, I created the decorations. On each table, there was a painted XO table runner, pink carnations, and chalkboard signs. I also set up a streamer photo booth backdrop, using four different colors. The last details came with gold cutlery and pink napkins.
The Food: We started our night with make-your-pizzas - a classic sleepover dinner. As we continued on in our night, we had pink cupcakes (both minis and regular), XO rice krispies (in pink and white), and later, a sundae bar.
The Drinks: Seeing as it was an adult sleepover, we had two signature drinks. The first was a berry sangria (made with Pink Zinfandel, Berry Ciroc, and Sprite) served with sparkling gold straws; the second was Peach Champagne Jell-O Shots (I'll be sharing the recipe with you later this week).
The Festivities: We had a couple different things going on throughout the night. We watched two chick flicks (Crazy, Stupid, Love and 27 Dresses), along with the Olympics. I also set up two different stations: a nail polish bar and a facial bar - both classic slumber party activities.
The Morning: In the morning, we had a mimosa bar with three different kinds of juice and berries and to go with our drinks, my dad made crepes.
We had such a wonderful night celebrating our friendships and reminiscing about our slumber parties back in the day.
Have a wonderful Galentine's Day ladies!
