St. Patrick's Day in Chicago

Happy St. Patrick's Day, friends!

Have you ever seen something in photos for years and then finally get the opportunity to see it in person? That was me yesterday with Chicago's green river.

Yesterday, after living in Illinois for three years, I finally experienced the green river. What's even better is that I did it on a boat! I, along with two of my friends, went on a booze cruise to celebrate St. Patrick's Day this year. We were on the boat for a total of three hours, which was the perfect amount of time. We toasted the afternoon with our adult capri suns (don't they look like that!?); it was such a good idea to give those out, rather than cups. As soon as we got to the part of the cruise where we were on the green river, I was so happy. I had seen pictures and heard about it for years, so finally seeing it person was so cool. It didn't hurt that we had the best backdrop for photos, either. We rounded out our celebrations with dinner and drinks at Cafe Robey and dancing at Old Crow.

It was the best way to celebrate!

My St. Patrick's Day fashion included: Target slip-ons, Express jeans, a green shamrock sweatshirt, a shamrock scarf, and a Lucky jean jacket (that I scored for $40!).

Hope you're enjoying this wonderfully green day!
