If you missed the inspiration behind this Spanish destination wedding, you can find it here.
Mari's Friendly Inspiration:
Colour Scheme: This wedding will be centered around the rustic colours of cream, cardinal red, and burgundy, with pops of light brown throughout the decor.
The Invitations: Spanish pomegranate invitations will request the presence of the couples' guests in the beautiful city of Granada, Spain.
The Venue: La Chumbera, Sacromonte Caves in Granada, Spain
The Ceremony Location: The ceremony will take place on the terrace of La Chumbera, overlooking the Palace of Alhambra.
The Dinner Location: Guests will get the true Spanish experience as they enjoy dinner inside of the Gypsy Caves of Sacromonte.
The Celebration Location: After dinner, the guests will dance the night away under a tented space on the other side of the terrace.
The Bride:
The Dress: The bride will wear a stunning Allure Bridal lace dress with small back keyhole details.
The Look: To accessorize her look, the bride will wear classic Spanish earrings with burgundy details and burgundy shoes to match. Her hair will be done in an updo, accessorized with a simple flower and cathedral Spanish mantilla veil. To finish the look, Mari will carry a bouquet of burgundy calla lilies and cream garden roses.
The Bridesmaids: The bride's ladies will wear cardinal Wtoo gowns, accessorized with gold Spanish earrings and cream calla lily bouquets wrapped in burgundy ribbon.
The Groom and Groomsmen: The men will wear navy suits with cream dress shirts and cardinal ties. The groom will stand out with a burgundy calla lily boutonniere, while his groomsmen will have cream calla lily boutonnieres.
The Ceremony: Lining the aisle will be burgundy petals, with each chair decorated with calla lilies and cream ribbon. To allow the beauty of Granada to be showcased, the only decorations at the alter will a hanging lilies backdrop. Each guest will also receive Spanish fans to help keep cool during the ceremony.
The Cocktail Hour: During the cocktail hour, the guests will be able to create their own sangria at the Sangria Bar.
The Escort Cards and Favours: The escort cards at this wedding will guide guests to their seats, as well as serve as their favours. Each guest will receive a Spanish tile with a special symbol showcasing why the guest is important to the couple. It will be a truly meaningful favour.
The Reception Tables: The tables inside the cave will be covered with cream tablecloths and cream lace overlays. Each place setting will begin with a burgundy charger, topped with gold-lined plates and a pomegranate place card. The centrepieces will consist of large floral arrangements in the wedding colours, along with lit tealight candles to add romance. To tie in the Spanish influence, the table numbers will be made from tiles similar to the escort cards.
The Celebration Decor: Hanging from the ceiling of the tent will be cream Spanish flags and small twinkle lights.
The Cake: A simple white cake will be decorated with a burgundy design and hints of gold, sitting on top of a vintage cake stand. The topper will read: "Mi Amor, Mi Vida, Mi Sol" meaning "My Love, My Life, My Sun."
The Band: A special surprise for the guests will be a complete mariachi band.
The Sendoff: The mariachi band will help serenade the bride and groom as they exit their reception in style with a coloured confetti sendoff.
Next week, a beach wedding with a hint of Chinese culture.
