This past weekend, we went on our second annual ski weekend. Last year's trip was the first time I spent an entire weekend with these friends - it was the trip that solidified our friendship and from then on out, I never left the group chat. Celebrating a year with these friends, skiing just like we did last year, was perfect. This year, we went to Dana's lake house in Michigan, added new friends, and ate amazing food prepared by Betty. All our fun is below!
FRIDAY
Friday after work, we piled into our vehicles and drove to Dana's lake house. We had some dinner and toasted to the weekend, before heading to bed.
SATURDAY
Saturday was our ski day! After breakfast, we drove to Caberfae Peaks. On my second run, I had one hell of a fall, but, after 30 minutes of trying to get back up, I made it down the hill. The rest of the day was much smoother! I was able to practice increased speed and different slopes, getting better each time I went down. I did really well and thoroughly enjoyed myself! Once returning to the lake house, we enjoyed an incredible dinner prepared by Betty. Dinner was followed with a night of playing Picolo. It was a late, but super fun, night!
SUNDAY
We celebrated two things on Sunday: my birthday and the Super Bowl. My friends decorated the house, prepared a tasty brunch, and sang happy birthday over a beautiful cake. The rest of our day leading up to the Super Bowl was filled with naps, Lohan Beach Club, and playing Mexican Train. We then piled into the family room with homemade chili to watch the Super Bowl (and the premiere of World's Best afterwards).
MONDAY
After a very tasty breakfast, we all caravanned back home.
I love this yearly tradition and cannot wait for the next trip.
