June in Chicago has been strange. We've had so much rain this month! Thankfully, the sun has occasionally popped out, giving me plenty of time to enjoy the weather. Throughout the month, I tried new restaurants, like Kaiser Tiger and IO; discovered my love of frozé at Park & Field; and relaxed on my front stoop, chatting with friends. I also took a last minute trip to headquarters to meet my new Head of Talent. I was able to spend valuable time with my team, which is just what I needed at the end of the fiscal. The highlight of my month, however, happened on the last day of June. Dana and I participated in Chicago's Pride Parade by riding on Smirnoff's float. It was such a wonderful day. And, in true June fashion, it ended up down pouring halfway through the parade. Thankfully, it didn't dampen our moods, but had us celebrating in the rain.

WHAT I WAS LOVING IN JUNE
- Rooftop Bars. We finally had some warm weather in Chicago, allowing us to experience some of the city's beautiful rooftop bars. My favorite part (other than the view)? The fancy drinks!
- Apartment Shopping. I've been slowly picking things up for my new place and it's been so fun! I bought my new couch the other day and it's so comfortable. I can't wait to see how it looks with everything else.
- Starbucks. I decided to cut my Starbucks down to once a week once I move into my new place, so I've been living it up this month. The amount of lattes I've consumed has been insane - and I've loved every minute of it!
COMING UP THIS MONTH
July is going to be a big month for me! In two weeks, I move into my very own place. I've always lived with roommates, but this time I'm going solo. Then, just three days after moving in, I fly to Banff with three of my girlfriends for an epic trip to Canada. The rest of the month will consist of fireworks, packing, and saying goodbye to two best friends as they start new adventures out of state.
Have a beautiful July everyone!
